About Nieder Farms

Black Angus cattle grazing on green grass

Nieder Farms is a family owned farm in Krakow, Missouri. We specialize in raising purebred Black Angus cattle and pasture raised poultry.

Established in the 1870s by Joseph Nieder, Nieder Farms has been the home to a variety of livestock and poultry for more than 140 years and five generations. Since our start as a family homestead, the Nieder family has hosted chickens, turkeys, pigs, sheep, cattle, and more. The milk house still stands as a tribute to the farm’s dairy history, when Holsteins roamed the fields. In 2023 we began incorporating regenerative practices to work toward a more sustainable future. Now, home to more than 75 Black Angus cattle, Nieder Farms specializes in pasture-raised Black Angus beef as well as seasonal pastured chickens.

Try our homegrown beef.

We sell steers by the quarter at various times throughout the year. All of our steers are grass fed, corn finished, and never receive any hormones. This means they graze in our fields, enjoy the hay that we bale ourselves, and finish with corn. This not only makes a difference in their (and your) health, but also in the flavor of the beef. We raise our cattle from the time they are born, and deliver them to the processor ourselves so they always receive safe and humane treatment.

Discover the difference of pastured poultry.

Our chickens thrive outdoors, foraging in the pasture as nature intended. This lifestyle ensures they’re not only healthier, but also happier. Like our steers, our chickens are raised without any added hormones and are a significant addition to our regenerative farming practices. From hatch to harvest, we ensure each bird receives the best care and humane treatment, processing them ourselves at the farm. Enjoy chicken that’s not just good for you and tastes superior, but that also supports a sustainable future.
